QLC’s high-quality,, revenue grade electric meters suit any residential, commercial, or industrial application. QLC’s electric submeters includes digital socket meters, single-point CT rated meters, and multi-customer CT rated meters. Electrical meters are regulated in Canada, all meters used for billing purposes are calibrated and sealed to Measurement Canada standards.

CURRENT TRANSFORMERS

Hamdon Energy Solutions provides a wide range of solid-core and split-core current transformers (CTs) of all amperages.

  • Solid-core CTs are required for any billing application. These CTs must also be approved by Measurement Canada.
  • Split-core CTs reduce installation costs but should only be used for information-only metering applications.

DIGITAL SOCKET METERS

Hamdon supplies Itron digital socket meters for tenant metering at residential and recreational properties. The electricity meters are typically read manually, but can be upgraded with AMR options. The meters are Measurement Canada approved and are tested and sealed by QLC (Hamdon Energy Solutions is an Authorized Dealer of QLC).

QUADLOGIC - MINICLOSET5C MULTI-METER

MiniCloset5c a revenue grade multi-meter capable of monitoring up to eight 3P4W loads. Numerous communications options and can accept pulse inputs from up to 48 other meters. Ideal for tenant billing or LEED M&V applications.

  • Robust multi-meter technology, ideal for new construction or retrofit projects.
  • Measurement Canada approved for legal tenant billing.

Quadlogic Submetering

Quadlogic Controls provides a versatile line of revenue grade electricity meters. This electricity meter line includes digital socket meters, single-point CT rated meters, and multitenant CT rated meters. All smart meters can communicate with Quadlogic’s patented powerline carrier (PLC) communications, Modbus RS485, pulse output, or several other communications options. Gas, water and thermal meter inputs can be collected by the Quadlogic system. The meters are Measurement Canada approved for legal tenant metering.

QUADLOGIC - RSM5 METER

The RSM5 is a revenue grade single-point CT-rated meter. Numerous communications options and can accept pulse inputs from up to 4 other meters. For use in smaller tenant billing applications or key load management.

SCAN TRANSPONDER

The Scan Transponder is Quadlogic’s power-line carrier ‘hub’. It communicates with all Quadlogic meters within a property using the existing power-lines. This drastically reduces the installation costs of a meter system.

The Scan Transponder-5 is the central point for Quadlogic’s patented Power-line Carrier communications technology. The Scan Transponder-5 communicates with all of a property’s Quadlogic meters over the existing electrical distribution. The signals are capable of crossing over a transformer, so a Scan Transponder-5 on a 347/600 distribution can communciate with meters on the 120/208V side of a transformer. The Scan Transponder-5 then stores the meter data until it is collected by numerous software and web-based reporting options.

This form of Power Line Communications (PLC) is a Quadlogic patented two-way technology that is robust and reliable and is used by several utilities and thousands of properties across North and Central America.

Using the Scan Transponder-5 and Power-line Carrier technology dramatically reduce the costs of meter system installation, since there is no need to hard-wire all meters back to a central point. In many retrofit applications, hard-wiring is not an option. Furthermore, once a Scan Transponder-5 is in place, any additional meters added in the future are essentially ‘plug and play’, since they will communicate with the existing Scan Transponder-5.
